Academic Enrichment
HERE AT CHAPIN HIGH SCHOOL WE OFFER MANY RESOURCES TO IMPROVE THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF OUR STUDENTS.
THESE INCLUDE:
COMPLETING MISSING ASSIGNMENTS IN A TIMELY MANNER, working on test corrections or content recovery to ensure mastery of missed concepts.
Enrichment for students is offered during NEST (Necessary Enrichment Study Time). NEST takes place Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:35-12:00. Students use this enrichment period to clarify instruction received in class and obtain assistance with homework or with test preparation. Students with Ds or Fs in a course and students who are missing assignments will be assigned NEST time. Parents may be contacted if their student did not attend the assigned NEST. Please partner with us to help your child succeed.
Our after school tutoring program is called EAS (Evening Acceleration School). EAS takes place on Mondays and Thursdays in the media center from 4:00-5:30pm. It is free; however, we do not provide transportation. Please contact Kelsey Krenek at kkrenek@lexrich5.org with any questions.

THE SC STATE LIBRARY ALSO OFFERS FREE REAL-TIME TUTORING AVAILABLE 24 HOURS!
South Carolina statewide access to free real-time tutoring is now available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Both English and Spanish speaking tutors (in select subjects) are available through the Discus Tutor.com subscription provided by the South Carolina State Library.
