Teacher Information

The staff of the CHS Library Media Center (LMC) is here to serve the educational and informational needs of all Chapin High School students, faculty, staff and administrators. We hope to partner with you in providing for your instructional goals and in providing a safe and inviting learning environment for our students. 

Our plans for success include the following services and guidelines:   

Student Visits to the Library:

Pickup Library Book Requests -

Students are only allowed to visit the library individually with a blue pass. Visits should only be for the purpose of picking up reserved items. Students should log into Destiny Discover (linked in the D5 Bookmarks on student Chromebooks) and place a hold at least 30 minutes prior to picking up a request. Students should check their Gmail inbox, as an email will be sent when holds are ready for pickup. Teachers wishing to have entire class checkout books should make arrangements with Mrs. Adams in advance to make arrangements, as class visits will not be allowed.  

Eagle ER Chrombook Repairs - 

Students needing Chromebook assistance (damage or malfunctioning device, wifi or Google errors) should be sent with a pass. Loaner Chromebooks will only be available for longterm repair tickets. 

    *Students should return back to class within a few minutes as they will not be allowed to work in the library.
